Financial Processes

1. All payments and processes to do with your membership will be managed through this website, unless special arrangements in writing have been made with the Treasurer of Edmonton Humahumanakanakapaua Swim Club ("HUMA").
2. You must have a valid, non-expired credit card on your account.
3. Payment will be charged to the credit card on your account three (3) calendar days after submitting a swimmer's registration. If you need a non-credit form of payment, you must make special arrangements with the Treasurer of HUMA (mike@criticalpoint.ca) within three (3) calendar days of submitting the swimmer's registration; otherwise your credit card will be charged by default.
4. Invoices will be emailed to you and visible by logging into your account at any time. 
5. The HUMA website and member accounts are now an official record of all invoices & payments.
6. Failure to fulfill the volunteer commitments of HUMA will result in a volunteer commitment fee of $250 being charged to the credit card on your account.
7. A $35 deduction will be made to the account if an athlete fails to show for a swim meet that they have signed up for or (does not follow with their sign-up commitment) after the sign-up deadline.
8. It is your responsibility to maintain an accurate account with HUMA. Keep your password safe and do not share it with others. Ensure that you use a current email address for your login and maintain accurate personal / billing / athlete information.
9. HUMA access is granted to a primary email address. In the case of parental / guardian disputes over account access, the owner of the primary email address will maintain access and responsibility for the HUMA account and all balances and commitments on that account. 
10. A refund of fees will be issued to a swimmer who withdraws from HUMA on or before May 15, 2024. The refund will be the fees paid to HUMA, less an administration fee of $150.
11. A swimmer who withdraws from HUMA after May 15, 2024 is not automatically eligible for a refund, but may receive a refund at the discretion of the HUMA Board of Directors.
12. There are no prorated fees for late registration or partial fees permitted for those swimming only part of the Alberta Summer Swimming Association (ASSA) summer swim season.
13. There are no make-up times or partial refunds available for any practice times that are missed by a swimmer or which are canceled by HUMA. Practice times are subject to change. HUMA will make best efforts to give advance notice to families in the event of time changes.
